Pitchers Corner #1: Jon Hunton

Welcome to my Pitcher's Corner, where I talk about Somerset's pitcher from my mind. No info source, No help, just
straight up Pitching talk.
#1: Jon Hunton
Big Jon Hunton is more than just a pitcher for Somerset,  he also helps Brett Jodie by being the director of player personal as he helps sign players.
To me, Jon is a great relief pitcher and some one who can close out a game. He just came off a tough loss this week. He has experiance with Somerset so he knows what he is facing, and I can't wait till he pitches again.

Past Patriots #1: Jake Fox

Welcome to my new series of going back into history and looking at past Patriots stats and where are they now every Monday.

Week #1: Jake Fox

Jake Fox played for Somerset in 2012 and 2013, and he was a great part of the team as he was very popular for his 2013 back-to-back-to-back walk-off hits. He has had 102 RBI and 32 homers in his career with the Pats. His 2013 was a better year for Jake than 2012 as he almost lead Somerset to a Alantic League Championship.  He is now playing in Mexico for 2014.

Next Monday: Josh Nettles

Sunday, May 4, 2014

Player Highlight #2: Adam Donachie

Adam grew up in Orlando, Florida and he played 82 games catching behind the plate for the Pats last year with 62 hits, 11 doubles, 6 home runs, and 40 RBI. Adam has 632 hits in his career and in 2014 so far he has had 16 at-bats and 5 hits. He is a great leader and player for Somerset and Adam is now teaching a new Patriot, Damaso Espino, some tips.
